RCVS Practice Standards SchemeWest Bar Veterinary Hospital was purpose built in 1990 to comply with the stringent Hospital Standards laid down by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS).

In 1998 West Bar Veterinary Hospital was awarded membership of the BSAVA Practice Standards Scheme .

In 2006 West Bar Veterinary Hospital was accredited by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons as a Tier 3 Small Animal Veterinary Hospital, Tier 2 Farm Animal Practice and Tier 1 Equine Practice under the RCVS Practice Standards Scheme.

The RCVS audits and inspects our practice. Inspectors check all aspects of the practice including the standard of care delivered to our clients and their pets, our diagnostic capabilities, professional skills and development, the treatments we give , the cleanliness of the practice and our management processes.
