Caring for a cat with lower urinary tract disease

This book by Dr Sarah Caney BVSc PhD DSAM (Feline) MRCVS and Professor Danielle Gunn-Moore BSc BVM&S PhD FHEA MACVSc explains what causes lower urinary tract disease as well as how it is diagnosed and treated. There is lots of practical advice on feline behaviour which plays a vital role in this condition as well other information on what an owner can do to help prevent future relapses. This book is by veterinary opthalmologist Natasha Mitchell MVB CertVOphthal MRCVS. Blind and partially sighted cats can adapt and lead remarkably normal lives with a little help. This book contains detailed information on the causes of eye problems as well as how these are treated and discusses ways that an owner can make their home environment safe and stimulating for their visually-impaired cat. Caring for a cat with kidney failure

This book by Dr Sarah Caney BVSc PhD DSAM (Feline) MRCVS is an excellent guide which explains what a diagnosis of kidney failure means and how best to manage this. All aspects of care are discussed with information on all of the available treatment options. The case study included shows how treatment can be highly successful, even in very serious cases, with many patients living for years after a diagnosis of kidney failure is made.
